A backgammon defensive strategy; usually implemented by a player, who is substantially behind in the game. The back game player is usually forced to this strategy, due to one or more anchors in the opponent’s home board. The player tries to hold the anchors as long as possible with the anticipation of hitting the opponent’s checkers.
